1. Acceptance
By accessing or using trustlists, you agree to these Terms. If you use trustlists for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. Services
trustlists provides:
- A public directory and API for finding vendor trust centers.
- Browser-assisted trust-center discovery through trustlists Companion.
- Account features such as favorites, listing workflows, and report history.
- AI-assisted lookup and document-analysis features.
- Paid features made available through account credits.
Features may change, enter beta, or be discontinued. We may set reasonable usage, technical, or eligibility limits to protect service quality and security.
3. Directory and Third-Party Content
Directory records summarize public information and link to websites operated by vendors and other third parties. trustlists does not control those sites and does not endorse, certify, audit, or guarantee any listed company.
Trust-center availability, certifications, platform attribution, and other directory details can change. Verify important information with the vendor before relying on it. Third-party terms and privacy policies apply when you leave trustlists.
4. Accounts and Access
- Provide accurate account information and keep access to your email secure.
- Do not impersonate another person or access an account without authorization.
- Notify us if you believe your account or session has been compromised.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
5. Your Content and Uploads
You retain ownership of documents, queries, instructions, and other content you submit. You grant trustlists a limited right to host, process, transmit, and reproduce that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the requested service.
You must have the rights and authorization needed to submit content. Do not upload unlawful material, malicious code, or documents you are prohibited from sharing or processing.
6. Paid Credits and Payments
- Stripe processes purchases using the price displayed at checkout.
- Credits are associated with the purchasing account, are non-transferable, and have no cash value.
- We may change future pricing or credit-pack configurations without changing completed purchases.
- Refund requests are reviewed case by case, except where a refund is required by law.
If a paid operation cannot complete, the service may retry it or restore reserved credits. Contact support if your displayed balance does not reflect a completed or failed operation.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Use trustlists for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or fraudulent activity.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the services.
- Bypass rate limits, feature controls, account restrictions, or payment controls.
- Use automated access in a way that harms availability or ignores published guidance.
- Submit content that infringes another person's rights or exposes secrets without authorization.
8. AI-Assisted Features
AI-generated results are probabilistic and can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. They are provided to assist review, not to replace source documents, professional judgment, legal advice, an audit, or a compliance determination.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs, checking cited evidence, and deciding whether a result is appropriate for your use. Do not rely on an AI result alone for a material security, legal, procurement, or compliance decision.
9. Ownership and Licenses
trustlists branding, software, page design, and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.
Public directory data and open-source materials may be offered under separate licenses. Where a repository or dataset identifies a license, that license controls your use of that material, including any attribution requirements.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security risk, suspected abuse, legal requirement, nonpayment, or harm to trustlists or others.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability—will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, trustlists is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free results, or the accuracy or completeness of directory records, third-party content, or AI-generated output.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, trustlists will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the services.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Changes and Contact
We may update these Terms as trustlists changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to legal@trustlists.org.
