Listing Removal & Correction Policy
Effective date: May 14, 2026
TrustLists is a directory of publicly available company trust centers. We respect your right to control how your company appears in our directory.
This policy explains what information we display, how to request changes, and how to claim your listing.
1) Overview
TrustLists aggregates and displays publicly available information about company trust centers to help security and procurement teams evaluate vendors. We link to trust centers — we do not host or reproduce their content.
If you represent a company listed in our directory and would like to request removal, correct inaccurate information, or claim your listing, this policy explains how to do so.
2) What We Display
For each company in our directory, we may display:
- Company name — The name of your organization
- Trust center URL — A link to your publicly accessible trust center
- Company website — Your primary domain
- Trust center platform — The platform hosting your trust center (e.g., Vanta, SafeBase, Drata, or self-hosted)
- Certifications — Compliance certifications you publicly disclose (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Logo/favicon — Your company logo or website favicon, typically sourced from Google's favicon service or your public website
- Registry listings — Public registry appearances such as CSA STAR
All information is sourced from publicly available sources including your trust center, website, and public compliance registries.
3) Request Removal
If you would like your company removed from the TrustLists directory, please email us at dmca@trustlists.org with:
- Your company name as it appears in our directory
- Your role at the company (we may verify your authority to make this request)
- A brief reason for the removal request (optional but helpful)
We will process removal requests promptly. Once removed, your company will no longer appear in search results or the directory browse view.
4) Request Correction
If information about your company is inaccurate or outdated, please email us at dmca@trustlists.org with:
- Your company name
- The specific information that is incorrect
- The correct information and a source (e.g., a link to your trust center)
Common correction requests include:
- Updated trust center URL
- New or expired certifications
- Company name changes (rebrand, acquisition)
- Incorrect platform attribution
5) Claim Your Listing
We're building features to let companies claim and manage their own listings. If you'd like to be notified when this is available, or if you'd like to verify your listing now, contact us at dmca@trustlists.org.
Claimed listings may receive:
- Priority placement or verification badges
- Direct control over displayed information
- Analytics on how often your trust center is viewed
6) Response Time
We aim to respond to all removal and correction requests within 5 business days. Most requests are processed within 48 hours.
If your request requires verification (e.g., confirming you represent the company), we may ask for additional information, which may extend the timeline.
